Yasodhara Yoga teachers offer yoga classes as selfless service. Class fees are contributed back to either support projects at the local centre or at Yasodhara Ashram.

We have all become teachers of Yasodhara Yoga because this yoga has been so helpful in our own lives. As teachers we are actively involved in ongoing self-development and study. All Yasodhara Yoga teachers renew our training every three years in a process of continuous learning.

Francine Fleming

francineAt the end of my first yoga class in the mid-nineties I knew that I had found a life long practice. The journey began in a Hatha Yoga tradition, including teacher training in 2002. The physical practice of Hatha was a valuable foundation that gave rise to a strong desire to investigate the breadth and depth of yoga.

This desire led me to Yasodhara Ashram in 2006, where I spent a year and a half studying and learning to live the teachings of Swami Radha, and how to pass them effectively to others.

Marlene Roza

marleneI began the study of Swami Radha’s yogic teachings in 1985. I completed the three-month Yoga Development Course at Yasodhara Ashram, BC, in 1998 and again in 2008.

I have been continuously re-certifying to teach Hatha Yoga, Hidden Language Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Dream Yoga. I have taught in Calgary since 2000 and at Yasodhara Ashram since 2009.

Through these teachings I have learned that when I accept my part in any situation, that is when I transform and become liberated.

Purnima Faith Stuart

purnima-faithI   have studied and been immersed in Swami Radha’s teachings since 1986 and began teaching in 1997. For me yoga means living what I learn. Through my personal mantra, reflection and Hatha Yoga Hidden Language practices I create a life radiant with Light. I received the Yoga Development Course training and certification in 1997 and again in 2006 and annually return to Yasodhara Ashram to renew my teacher certification.

Alexandra Hindson

sandraI arrived at Yasodhara Ashram in January 1999 for the Yoga Development Course after traveling across the country in search of my spiritual home. I found it! I have been teaching Yasodhara Yoga since 2000. I lived at the Ashram for 3 years soaking up the Light, and took the YDC for a second time in 2009. Swami Radha’s teachings continue to enrich my life and I am so grateful to have the many ways to access my Divine spark, one of which is prayer dance. Yoga is dance, dance is yoga.

utpalaSwami Radha opened her centre in Calgary, and I was able to meet her and some of her students. Studying there, adding reflection, mantra and Light to my yoga practice, made such a positive difference in my life that I continued on to become a teacher.

I lived at Yasodhara Ashram from 1986 to 1996. I am committed to making Swami Radha’s teachings available to others. Her practical tools allow me to live a life of quality and joy, inspiring me to stretch my mind and open my heart.

Nicole St. Arnaud

I have been practicing yoga since 1997 and was introduced to Swami Radha’s teachings and Yasodhara Ashram in 2006. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in the Yoga Development Course in 2015 and am now honoured to be a Yasodhara Teacher. The Yoga Development Course opened me up to the joy that is within me. The practice of yoga keeps me connected to the joyful feeling of acceptance and gratitude for what is.

Swami Radha’s teachings changed my life when I took my first steps in 2011. Yasodhara Yoga has helped me to find courage and acceptance of myself, of others, and all of life. The path is open to all. I completed the Yoga Development Course in 2018, and became a certified teacher soon after.
