Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga integrates classical asanas with spiritual practices of mantra and meditation. Offered in small groups, these classes empower students to accept and listen to their bodies. Non-competitive and compassionate, open to all levels.

If you want to take a yoga class but funds are tight, come to the Thursday 5:45 class. Suggested amount is $5, but any amount – $1, $2, $10 or more – is gratefully accepted! We also offer a sliding scale in other weekly classes and some workshops.

Seeking Awareness through Hatha Yoga  

Tuesdays, June 26, July 17th and 24th, 6:30 – 8:00 pm

What is your body telling you? Gain understanding of yourself and your relationship with the world around you as you practice Hatha Yoga. Join us as we ask questions and listen for answers from our innate wisdom in familiar yoga poses.

Bring a notebook or journal and wear comfortable clothes. 

Cost: $12 drop in or $30 for 3 classes



Yoga Beyond the Physical: A Series

Tuesdays May 1 – June 12, 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Starting in May the Tuesday reflection class will focus on a different Yoga practice each week. These practices are designed to deepen your understanding of yourself and increase your awareness of the world you live in. You can attend one or two classes or the whole series.

Bring a notebook or journal to record your observations and insights. 

Wear comfortable clothing.

Cost: $12/class or $70/series


May 1: Kundalini Yoga – Use the kundalini system as a tool for personal growth. Explore the use of ancient kundalini symbols to increase your understanding of an issue or concern. Bring a journal and something about your self or your life you would like to know more about.

May 8: Yoga and Meditation – Starts with stretching and relaxing, then guided meditations to practice stilling the mind.

May 15: Mantra Yoga – Mantras are sacred sounds for focusing the mind, increasing awareness, calming emotions. An experiential class of chanting several mantras along with some background information on the practice.

May 22: The Hidden Language of Hatha Yoga – Bring new depth to your hatha practice by using the symbolic meanings of asanas to allow your body to share its wisdom. Wear comfortable clothing.

May 29: The Power of Speech – Explore the power of speech in your own life. Increase your awareness of the effect your speech and thoughts have in creating the life you want to live.

June 5: Divine Light Invocation – Learn to use the Divine Light Invocation, a standing meditation that combines the body, breath and mind in a concise practice, to gain awareness of the Light both within and without.

June 12: Dream Yoga – By combining a step-by-step dream method and meditative practices with an exploration of personal symbolism, Dream Yoga is one of the most direct means of self-discovery. Dream interpretation helps to identify current issues and shows options for making changes in waking life.

Pay By the Session – All classes (unless otherwise noted)

  • 1 class per week (5 classes)….. $50
  • 2 classes per week (10 classes)…… $90
  • Drop-in……$12 per class
  • Make-ups can be done within the session paid for; missed classes may not be carried over to the next session.
  • No refunds after the second week of the session.

Prepaid Option

  • Purchase either 5 classes for $50 or 10 classes for $90.
  • Class credits are good for 3 months from date of purchase.
  • No refunds; class credit is non-transerable.

  • Consider rounding up your check as a donation to our non-profit center, to cover payment of classes for those who cannot afford them.
  • Please call ahead to sign up for a session of classes.
