Yoga Series: On and Off the Mat

Tuesdays Sep 11 – Oct 23,
6:30 – 8:00 pm

A series of seven classes focusing on different yogic practices each week. These practices are designed to deepen your understanding of yourself and increase your awareness of the world you live in. You can attend one or two classes or the whole series.

Bring a notebook or journal to record your observations and insights.

Wear comfortable clothing.

Cost: $12/class or $70/series

Sep 11: Steps to Meditation – Explore practices to develop concentration and watch the mind in preparation for meditation.

Sep 18: Twisting It Up – Take time to unwind and release tension. Exploring twisting yoga postures brings an unpredictable, fun, fresh perspective. What is revealed can be a delight!

Sep 25: Dream Yoga – By combining a step-by-step dream method and meditative practices with an exploration of personal symbolism, Dream Yoga is one of the most direct means of self-discovery. Dream interpretation helps to identify current issues and shows options for making changes in waking life.

Oct 2: Yoga & Meditation – Start with stretches to relax the body and guided meditations to quiet the mind, then sit for several short meditation periods.

Oct 9: Hatha Yoga and Divine Feminine – The Divine Feminine or Divine Mother is often thought of as outside of us, but she is really the power within us. Hatha yoga is strength that is receiving. Discover how yoga postures can connect us with our own nurturing source.

Oct 16: Relaxation – Slow down. Focus within. Using breath, gentle yoga stretches, guided visualization and reflection, quiet your mind and connect with your inner wisdom.

Oct 23: Mantra Practice – Come and experience mantra as a way to calm the mind, tame the emotions and lift your spirit.
