I have been practicing Hatha Yoga for about 40 years. In 1996 I discovered Swami Sivananda Radha’s Yasodhara Ashram and knew I had found my spiritual home. I completed the three-month Yoga Development Course Intensive and five months in residence there in 1998 and have been teaching and learning ever since. Re-certifying on a regular basis in Hidden Language Hatha Yoga and Kundalini and Dream Yoga has given me many wonderful opportunities to explore and grow in heart and mind. It is a joy and a privilege for me to be able introduce people to Swami Radha’s practical approach to life through Yoga.
I have been practicing Yoga for about ten years, and started to dig deeper in the past five, completing the three-month Yoga Development Course and Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2013. Teaching offers me an opportunity to express my gratitude by sharing a tradition that helps me learn how to be me at my fullest potential.
I took my first Hatha Yoga class around 15 years ago, then spent the next three years looking for deeper meaning in the poses and practices. I found that at Yasodhara Ashram, enrolling without hesitation in the Yoga Development Course and staying at the community for eight months. The practices of yoga have helped me become a better person. I understand more my mind, my interactions, and how I can make the world better through service. I am thrilled to offer the teachings of Swami Sivananda Radha to the people of Edmonton. I re-certified my Hatha Yoga teacher training in spring 2012, and returned to the Ashram for four months of teaching and karma yoga service in the winter of 2013.
